Photo Hunt Saturday - Tiny

This week's photo hunt theme is Tiny. While browsing my pictures, I came across quite a few that fit the theme, but narrowed it down to two.

The first is a picture of some aphids on the stem of an Dahlia plant. See them? They are the tiny yellow things. See the ants? They are "milking" the aphids for their honeydew secretions. It's true - I even checked here. This is something I observed last year and didn't believe Husband when he told me. I should have believed him, after all, he was right about Ant Lions and other odd facts I never knew.

The second picture is of a yellow crab spider hiding camouflaged on a sunflower.

Great finds for tiny! I think the 2nd photo is my fave, due to the color - it' so vibrant. Tho, the first one is neat, too... nice capture of those tiny creatures! =)

I always forget how tiny aphids are until I see them next to an ant. I'm not a big fan of spiders, but your yellow crab spider was ok to look at. :) I know I have all kinds of bugs in my garden... I just don't think about them much or I tend to get the goose bumps :)
Have a great weekend!

Cool pictures, must have some nice lenses. I hate spiders so I would need a super telephoto lens to shot one.

Excellent shots. The one that fascinates me is the aphid/ants one. The aphids are all swollen up with nectar? Triple cool!

That crab spider photo is amazing!

I have a husband who knows all sort of obscure things like that: irritating, isn't it, when they're right?!!

I like the 2nd pict.

I think if you photoshopped a baby head on the bug, you would gice Anne Geddes some competition
