Here's to a cleaner New Year

With Christmas just seven days away and New Years right on it's tail, now is the time to start thinking about your New Year's resolutions. Maybe your going to try and save money, spend less, lose some weight or just be less stressed. Maybe your going to vow to volunteer more and work less. Maybe your going to live greener. Or maybe your going to try and keep your laundry down to a minimum.

If your like me and have multiple little beings running around, you know they wear tons of laundry. And chances are, if your like me, you procrastinate until their laundry baskets are overflowing. Or you go to grab a school uniform only to find out their isn't any clean and you have to pull your cleanest one out of the hamper. ***ahem, not that I know anyone who does that***.

Well, if laundry's in your New Year forecast, then stick around. The lovely ladies at Mom Generations have set up The Giveaway Connection and have given me the opportunity to give something to you, my readers. Wanna know what your playing for?

Two 2-Packs of Scent + Dye Free dropps, which will cover 4 loads of laundry

Dropps is a biodegradable, phosphate-free, chlorine-free and NPE-free laundry detergent, and they can be found at http://www.dropps.com.

Here are the rules:
You have from today, December 19th until next week December 26th at midnight EST. Winners will be announced during the day on Saturday, December 27th. You need to leave an email address or link to a valid blog so that I can contact you for shipping information.

That's it.

The task?

You need to answer a few questions (answers can be found on my blog)....

1) I have three daughters, they go by the names Einey, Meenie and Moe. How old are they and when are their birthdays (and yes, since I'm sure you'll say no fair, it could be TWO answers fro Einey depending on when you answer, let's go with her age she will be on her birthday this year).

2) How many pets do we have? Bonus points if you can name their species.

3) Did I ever resolve my issue with the Christmas card from Hell?

4) When did I get my Christmas tree this year?

5) How many times has Moe cut her hair?

6) What did my kids want for Christmas this year?

7) If my kids had an Ipod, what type of music would they want added?

8) What is Moe's favorite drink?

All answers can be found on my blog. You may need to did harder for some. In the event that more than one person gets all the answers correct, I'll randomly draw a name for the winner.

Seems like I didn't think that through very well. Leave me a comment about how much you love doing laundry (because we all LOVE laundry, right ?) and how many people you wash for. And EVERYONE gets a chance to win. All comments left will be eligible to win, I'll pull it randomly from everyone who comments.

Worth playing for? Good then go! There can only be one Survivor winner. Good luck!

Oddly enough, I really don't mind doing laundry very much, although that is a change from when I had kids, a job and an old wringer washer and no dryer! Many years later, I am retired, it is only myself (generally, although I sometimes grab jackets off grandkids because I can't stand to look at them any more!) and a reasonably new set of appliances! Glad you scratched the questions!
I have been thinking about trying these--this would be a great way to do so!

laundry- hmm I love it when its fresh and warm- but really the thought just irritates me- smelling the stinkies and complaints of where is it,you forgot to look for stains etc...would love to try..maybe if hubs got me a washer that worked efficiently and an upto date dryer- well thats a dream

I love doing laundry, I suppose. I hate folding it, but I love putting in the the wash.

Reva Skie said...

I wash for two. I like washing and folding ok, I detest hang up clothes. I avoid it til the piles mound up and spill out of the basket.

I wash for 3 - but it seems that the 20 month old has more than both my husband and I! I don't mind actually doing the laundry-it's the putting stuff away & hanging it up that is the problem! thanks! I've always wanted to try these...

I have 4 to do laundry for and sometimes 6 when my daughter and boyfriend come over, of course she does most of it.

In my house, everyone does their own laundry (4). Some of us are messy though and spill on occasion. These Dropps would take care of that.

I LOVE DOING LAUNDRY. & CLEAN WHITE CLOTHES. I WASH FOR SIX PEOPLE. LOVE TO WIN

bettycd said...

I wash for 4 counting the one at college. Actually that one should count double because all college students scrimp and save dirty clothes just to bring them home to mom. I would love to try the dropps. Heard about them sometime ago and have yet to run across them in the store.

way too much dirty laundry in this house - I'd love to win

I do not like laundry, but I do like it much better than dishes or cleaning bathrooms!! I do laundry for myself and my 3 boys. My husband mostly does his own laundry, and also helps with the kids' laundry and towels and stuff.

I really don't mind doing laundry. The part I don't like is carrying the baskets upstairs to put away. I do laundry for 2. Thank you!

Oh, I just LOVE doing laundry LOL. Actually I don't mind it very much. There's something nice about clean, fresh smelling clothes. I was for 3 people, until my son comes home from college...then it feels like I'm washing for 8 or 10 people!

I do not love doing any chores and I'm always just a bit suspicious of those who say they do. But laundry isn't such a terrible one and I am pretty talented at getting stains out, so that's a plus! (Here's a tip for anyone who reads this: On white clothes with a stain that is stubborn - like baby stains - put lemon juice on it and leave it in sunlight for 10 minutes. I've rescued 25 cent garage sale items with that one!)

I do laundry for 2 - 3 people (my son does much of his himself.)

Laundry is an ongoing task - I wash for myself and my husband and whenever daughter comes home from college - she brings all of her laundry with her!

Deborah said...

Actually, I do love doing laundry; it's not a difficult job. All I have to do is sort the clothes, throw them in the washer and hang them up to dry. Now, if I had to p9pound the laundry on rocks in the creek, it'd be a different story. I do laundry for two people.

I detest doing laundry. I do laundry for three but it seems like a battalion. garrettsambo@aol.com

Yes, I love laundry. I love the mountains of clothing I see each time I wander into my laundry room. I only do laundry for a thousand people....okay, 4, but it seems like a thousand. I think these would be fantastic. It would cut out some steps, plus leave a smaller footprint. thanks for sharing

Normally I wash for 2 people but the kids are home from college so everything is nuts. I can't get used to having to do it every day now but if I don't, the mountains are too big to climb.

I do not like doing the laundry at all. It is my least favorite thing to do. I usually just do the laundry for myself but it is still such a pain. I would really like to try this product out and hope I am lucky enough to win. This is a great giveaway. Thanks.
