Tell them they cannot go to school.
Meenie complained of a stomach ache yesterday when I picked her up from school. I told her to use the bathroom and she's probably feel better. It worked for Moe earlier when her tummy hurt.
This morning, she called from upstairs. "Mooooom". When I got there, I was greeted by two stinky piles of vomit on the floor. I'll spare the details, but needless to say, once it was all cleared up and she was dressed, she told me she was feeling better. I told her she had to stay home today (and tomorrow's a day off, so no issue with that). She immediately burst into tears. It took me awhile to get her to calm down. We talked about how when your sick, you stay home, even if your feeling better. We even talked about the kids who were out this week already sick.
But it brought back memories from two years ago, when Einey was in kindergarten. Einey loved school so much, she wanted to protest weekends and school vacations. She too cried when she was sick and had to stay home from school.
Here's to hoping she feels better soon and no one else gets sick!

Heh. Save this post and share it with them when they're 15 and "don't feel so good" one morning.
Poor thing! No question, my boy would cry if he didn't get to go to school either, he loves it there.
