We love to hike. As a result, we've come across many ruins in the woods. From old home foundations in empty, overgrown fields to old dams to many stone walls. We've found broken crypts in some of our cemetery jaunts and broken picnic tables off the beaten path. There are many oddities out there, you just need to find them.
Here is a picture of an old dam, taken at our favorite hiking spot.

Gorgeous! I love finding things like that in the woods, but I'm never smart enough to bring my camera with me.
Hello from another Margaret, but I go my Margy. Your woods look much like ours here in Powell River, BC. Lots of moss and undergrowth. I invite everyone to come see my ruin discoveries in Coastal BC. -- Margy
That's neat how the trees (or vines?) grow like that. I find a lot of ruins on hkes, too.
I did Photo Hunt today, too. I hope you get a chance to visit and leave your link!
